AN INITIATIVE BY THE VALENCIA CITY COUNCIL WITH THE SUPPORT OF FAO
The World Sustainable Urban Food Centre is an initiative by the Valencia City Council with the technical support of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) to promote, manage and coordinate permanent action in two areas:
Collection and classification of the multiple initiatives aimed at establishing sustainable local food systems in cities around the world. A physical and technological space for sharing knowledge.
Dissemination and awareness-raising of all those issues related to food, nutrition, the fight against hunger, climate change and sustainable local food systems, both from Valencia and from any other city in the world.
