To discuss our local food systems in depth, the Annual Meeting of the Network of Cities for Agroecology will take place on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October: “Local food systems facing global risks: from covid-19 to the climate crisis”. Today, more than ever, improving the way we eat is an absolute priority. This is what the Network of Cities for Agroecology is working on, and its vision is to build a wide range of interconnected cities, all of which are committed to the recovery of a productive and sustainable agro-food model.
In this edition, which is being held online, the Network seeks to create a space for the exchange of experiences that is “essential at a time when the health crisis has highlighted the importance of good nutrition as a preventive health strategy and the agri-food model as one of the priorities to be addressed”.
This meeting is expected to bring together representatives of the councils that make up the Network, representatives of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety.
Moderator: Pedro Damián, Director General of EFEAGRO.
