This is a body for exchanging ideas, experiences, plans, etc. among the agents working for the Centre in order to offer the most comprehensive information on the subject of healthy and sustainable food. The Governing Board determines its composition, constitution and operating regime.

Cristina M. Rosell
Research Lecturer
at the IATA
Cristina M. Rosell is a research lecturer at the IATA (Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology at the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council). Cristina has been a guest lecturer at several universities in the Americas and director of IATA. Head of the project for excellence entitled Leading Innovation in Cereals (LINCE). She serves on numerous scientific committees and has directed and trained hundreds of professionals. Her research has focused on the design, development and biochemical, technological and nutritional assessment of enhanced cereal products.

Joan Romero
Professor of Human Geography
at the University of Valencia
Joan Romero is professor of human geography at the University of Valencia and a member of the Inter-University Institute of Local Development, where he has also held the role of director. His teaching and research activity focus on political geography, public policy and new forms of territorial governance. Author and editor of around 30 books and almost 100 articles, he has coordinated research projects on territorial cooperation in Spain and has trained part of the team responsible for the ESPON project. He was Education Minister in the Valencia Regional Government and General Technical Secretary also at the Ministry of Education.

José Mª G. Alvarez-Coque
Agricultural engineer with a Ph.D.
in Agricultural Economics
José Mª G. Alvarez-Coque is an agricultural engineer with a Ph.D. in agricultural economics. Coordinator of the International Economics and Development Group, director of the Tierra Ciudadana Chair and lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, José Mª has been a guest researcher at the IFPRI, Washington D.C. He has worked as an adviser and consultant to international organizations such as the OECD, EU, FAO and CIHEAM. He is a member of several organizations in the areas of research and innovation in the agrifood sector. For three years he directed the MOOC Challenges of agriculture and food in the 21st-century, with over 14 000 participants across 80 countries.

Mª Dolores Raigón Jiménez
Doctorate in
Agricultural engineering
Mª Dolores Raigón Jiménez has a doctorate in agricultural engineering and lectures at the technical school of Agricultural Engineering and Environment at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Researcher at the University Institute for Conservation and Improvement of Agrodiversity in Valencia, she is vice-president of the Spanish Ecological Agriculture Society and a member of the scientific committee of 5 al día. Mª Dolores is also the author of ten very well-known books in the productive and food transformation sector. She has served on the scientific committee of numerous national and international congresses and is a researcher and scientific communicator on the subject of ecological agriculture and its repercussion on agrifood quality.
