CEMAS signed an agreement with United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), a global network of cities and local, regional and metropolitan governments committed to representing, advocating and amplifying the voices of governments to promote the ideals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The agreement signed between UCLG and CEMAS aims to promote innovation within food systems to fight malnutrition, strengthen local public service delivery and foster resilience and sustainability. It also seeks to promote inclusive food systems, multilevel governance and the creation of partnerships to end food poverty.
In the Decade of Action to achieve the 2030 Agenda, food systems have cross-cutting relevance to all SDGs and to recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic in a more inclusive and resilient manner.
