The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has launched the campaign “Aquí no se tira nada. Alimentos de 7 vidas” (Nothing is thrown away here. Food with seven lives), with the aim of raising awareness among all sectors of society about responsible food consumption.
The campaign aims to recover the values of the foods that make up Spain’s gastronomic and cultural heritage, preventing them from ending up as waste. In addition to emphasising the economic aspect of food waste, it also appeals to the “social, ethical and moral” importance of making the most of food.
During the presentation, the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, highlighted: “We must not lose sight of the fact that the most expensive food is the one that is not consumed, the one that ends up in the garbage”. When we throw away food, we throw away with it everything that is behind it: effort, resources and sacrifice. Join the anti-waste fight!
