Last Friday, the fourth edition of the Food Industry Participatory Forum on the draft bill on Food Loss and Waste Prevention was held.
This initiative is part of Spain’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and seeks to curb this phenomenon, considering it one of the most crucial aspects when it comes to coordinating sustainable food systems and a circular economy.
The future Food Loss and Waste Prevention Act, in addition to combating food waste, is an opportunity to highlight the work of all those involved in the food chain. To this end, it is essential that society becomes aware that food is the result of the hard work and effort of farmers, ranchers and fishermen, who are sincerely dedicated to producing food and supplying us with safe and healthy products.
