On 28th June, the Food Justice team and CERAI (International Center of Rural and Agriculture Studies) met at CEMAS as part of the “Dreaming of the Platform we want” Workshop Series. The objective of this third meeting was to create a space for dialogue to share experiences and lines of action to enrich the “Schools that Feed” platform.
The initiative aims to promote changes that will make it possible to move towards school canteens that are more educational, healthier, more connected to the local area, more sustainable and committed to the local primary sector; in short, more inclusive and fairer.
The platform is made up of different organisations linked to the areas of food, rural development, social economy and education. It is the result of the coordination of a movement to call attention to the poor quality of the food often offered by school canteens and a call for the incorporation of quality and sustainability criteria in the selection of the companies that manage them.
