On 7th April, we will celebrate World Health Day under the theme “Our Planet, Our Health”. In the midst of a pandemic, a polluted planet and an increasing incidence of disease, the theme proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) this year aims to draw global attention to the interconnection between the planet’s ecosystems and our health.
To celebrate this day, the WHO is organising the online meeting “Clean our air, water and food” where it will unveil the vision at the regional level and share inspiring stories about the actions being taken to build a better world. A planet with clean air, clean water and sanitation for all, where healthy food is available and accessible, cities are liveable, and economies are climate-resilient and health-centred.
In turn, the initiative urges individuals, communities, governments and organisations around the world to share their stories about the actions they are taking to protect our planet and our health. Will you join us? Share your experience and include the hashtag #HealthierTomorrow.
