A new vision of agri-food systems is essential to successfully overcome the demographic challenge in rural areas. It goes deep into their cultural roots and develops the character of people and territory as a vital option. The main challenge of the agri-food system is the adaptation of the production model of quality food and the attention to new social, commercial and environmental demands in a framework in which urban-rural relations demand, under a profound application of the SDGs, a new status based on coherence.
