Today, 16 October, marks World Food Day, an annual event promoted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to raise awareness of the importance of food security and nutrition around the world.
This year’s theme is “Water is life. Water nourishes”. On this occasion, the celebration highlights the value of this resource for our survival and the critical role of governments, the private sector, farmers, academia, civil society and individuals in its preservation.
Each of us, including young people, can take action on water for the future of food, people and the planet. Join us!
