On 27 October, the Official College of Dietitians-Nutritionists of the Valencian Community (CODiNuCoVa) organised the first meeting “En Col-lectiu” in which around 40 people specialised in Mass Catering, dietitians-nutritionists, chefs, centre managers, educational community, catering staff and experts in food sustainability, met to discuss this sector and its current situation.
The event served as a platform for the presentation of the innovative project “Alimentando Congresos”, carried out by Inma Zarzo, dietician-nutritionist of the Lluís Alcanyís Foundation, and Vicente Domingo, director of CEMAS. This project focuses on analysing and reducing food waste at the Valencia Conference Centre, underlining the city’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Likewise, Inma Girba, member of CODiNuCoVa, presented revealing data from the survey “En Col-lectiu”, which highlights the employment situation of dietitian-nutritionists in the field of collectivities.
