The Spanish government intends to take up the law on the prevention of food waste at the beginning of 2024, in order to process it as soon as possible.
This initiative, which fell out of the parliamentary process, seeks a more efficient management of food resources, urging companies to adopt prevention plans and to collaborate in the donation of surpluses.
The action is in line with the European Union’s efforts to significantly reduce food waste by 2030, as part of a global and national commitment to more sustainable and conscious practices in the food industry.
