The report, Pathways towards lower emissions – A global assessment of the greenhouse gas emissions and mitigation options from livestock agrifood systems, launched on the margins of COP 28, emphasises the importance of sustainable animal husbandry practices, reducing food loss and waste, and addressing specific greenhouse gas emissions.
The report underlines the need for location-specific investments to improve efficiency and meet global food demand. It also opens up a range of opportunities for policy makers, industry stakeholders, small-scale producers and consumers.
